Hey Techies! We are a fun loving and & fast moving digital business focused on working with self-published fiction authors to bring their dream of selling their books to life and becoming book selling confident business owners. We do this with online training courses and group and personal coaching.
We are looking for a Tech VA to join our team to work on internal projects. You’ll be the go-to resource for all things tech including working on funnels, email campaigns, automations, launches and website updates. We’re looking for someone that has an understanding of online business and how the different platforms work together, a passion for all things marketing and brand and who shares our obsession with quality and outstanding service.
You’ll be part of a team that loves to collaborate, share ideas, and produce quality work on a daily basis.
More About The Position:
- Location: 100% Remote
- Hours: 25-30 Hour Contract Position with a strong possibility of full time hours
- Availability: 9am-5pm Brisbane Australia time but other hours can be considered.
- Hardware and Software: Apple Mac is our preferred hardware but Windows is ok. Memberships to the software we use will be supplied.
This Position IS FOR YOU if you:
- Have several years of professional digital marketing experience
- Can talk through or show examples of tech work you have set up
- Like learning and implementing digital marketing tactics. This is a doing, hands on role with attention to detail a must.
- Take on multiple projects and inject passion, creativity, and some edge into your work all while keeping organized and well prioritized
- Have a self-motivated, insightful, optimistic personality
- Take and give constructive feedback because we are all here to learn and grow
- Are a self-starter and can work independently
Technology/Apps Experience:
Have proven experience working in apps and tools like:
- WordPress and the Elementor theme
- Funnel apps – we use FunnelGorgeous (you may have used similar apps like ClickFunnels or Kartra)
- Email apps – we use FunnelGorgeous (you may have used similar apps like ActiveCampaign, Infusionsoft or Kartra)
- Online training and membership sites – we use 10XPro and FunnelGorgeous (you may have used similar apps like Kajabi or Kartra)
- Team project management tools – we use Evernote & Infinity (you may have used similar apps like Monday, Asana, or Basecamp)
- Graphic design apps – we use Canva
- Automation tools – we use Zapier and IFTTT
- VideoAsk, Typeform, Google Docs or other similar tools
You may not be familiar with our main apps – FunnelGorgeous, 10XPro, Infinity and Evernote – but you must have experience in the similar apps listed. Training in the specific apps we use will be provided but you need to be experienced in digital marketing. This is not a trainee position.

- Not people-oriented or collaborative – we believe we do better work individually when we work together as a team
- Cannot adapt or be flexible – business changes quickly and we need to adapt along with it
- Need hand holding – we are here for you but you are responsible for managing yourself and taking daily action to meet your goals
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Creating and maintaining our email campaigns to our email list including creating automations and segmentations to include/exclude portions of our audience using tags
- Creating and maintaining our sales funnels including landing pages, order bumps, upsells, downsells, thank you pages and ensuring our clients can easily access their purchases using FunnelGorgeous or 10XPro
- Creating and maintaining our websites including the formatting and posting of blog posts and podcast episodes
- Ensuring files and programs are properly saved and organized for easy reference for team members
- Upholding the integrity of the Get My Book Out There brand across all correspondence and online platforms
- Collaborating with the team to create and maintain our online presence
Salary: Salary is negotiable.
